Buildings to move after place.

Hello Guys,

I have a very annoying question Buildings to move after place. - GIANTS Software (1)
After placing a building and then want to move it somewhere else, how do I do this?

How to? Buildings to move after place. - GIANTS Software (2)
I looked everywhere for a solution but couldn't find it...

Thanks for your help!

^^ I guess you can always remove it and then buy another one the same, putting that where you want?

(assuming you can get the delete function to work - I'm not having the best of luck with this!)

if you are on PC\Mac then you can always edit the placeables.xml in the relevant savegame# folder, as each entry has a:
position="# # #" and rotation="# # #"

the middle value of position is height, the middle value of rotation is that of around the vertical axis, the first and last values of position relate to the same values as you see on the mini map.

it is recommended only minor adjustment of a couple of meters, slight changes in vertical height, and rotation changes, unless you are proficient with the terrain editor, and understand drastic movements will require things to be done manually to prep the ground.

otherwise you are best of opening the placeables.xml to remove entry's that cannot be deleted, then adding to the appropriate money value for your farm in the careerSavegame.xml and farms.xml.

.xml are openable with notepad (PC) with word wrap off (under format), and remember to make a manual backup of the savegame# folder before doing anything with .xml and or make a copy savegame# folder to a vacant slot, e.g. if you are using savegame5 and savegame15 is vacant, then make a copy of savegame5 as savegame15 and only edit the .xml in savegame15, thus leaving the original unchanged.

It's pretty easy actually to select demolish, just select decoration or landscape tab first.

so sometimes you cannot use demolish, though for some buildings, just clicking on them will open the delete function without the demolish being presses, as the renaming of a building function also has a delete method.

Works perfectly fine for me with controller/keyboard to select it the way i just said. Im not talking about right click stick, but select demolish so with pressing a building can be removed.

but the key point IS, the demolish button is NOT working for everyone, some people have no problems, some do.

for example it is permanently greyed-out for me on some saves and not others, so I cannot click on it how I use to, instead I have to use the opening of the building renaming function and use the delete function from there on the saves that it doesn't work or when it is having a moment of not working.

luckily I am also extremely proficient at editing the savegame .xml too.

I told a lot of people about being on decoration or landscape tab first, and it all worked for them.

Try it out! It will work for ya to.
