I've put so many hours into this game and I've litterally only come across like 3 mimics. I need the titan glove to make the fire gauntlet so I'm looking for a good way to find mimics, anyone know of a good method?

Mimics love long straight passageways I've found. Dig a couple, try to fill in surrounding stuff so enemies won't spawn where you don't want them, water candle and battle potion it up and you're set.

Thanks I'll try that!

Have to agree with Unit One here.
What I did was drain the ocean on one side because generally the sea bottom is below surface level. Then made it a flat area (easy when mining sand) and placed a water candle every other screen or so.
Then I just ran the area up and down and found me about a mimic a minute (when using battle potions).
Have to admit though, I also placed platforms made of wood blocks -not the actual platform furniture- and made sure there were no caves below me, all to maximize spawn.
Keep in mind though, apart from phat mimic lewt you are also likely to end up with a gazillion mummy suits...

Sorry turns out I lied... platforms were made of stone. Just booted up Terraria to take a screenshot of my farming area. Also added a screenshot of the collected mummy gear, which is actually only a fraction of what I farmed, heh...
The teleporter you see is for convenience, placed one on both sides and connected them. Then I just run from one side to another while throwing my possessed hatchet.

I ended up copying a mimic farm off of youtube which works really well.
btw I'm really jealous of your ankh shield, in my game corrupters and floaty gross are still bugged so vitamins are the only part of the ankh shield I don't have.

Ankh shield? If only!
What you see there is a menacing obsidian shield. The vitamins have yet for me to drop as well...

None of you guys have an ankh shield? I was able to get one in about 3 real days. I recommend farming corrupters in the hardmode corruption, I was able to get some vitamins in about 10 minutes with this strategy. And if there's anything else you need help with getting, (Like the Nazar,) I can help you with that, too.

Just cut down a mountain. No really. Excavate a whole mountain to flatness without removing the backdrops.

1. The Nazar drops from enchanted swords, (they spawn in the Underground Hallow,) shadow hammers, (they spawn in the Underground Corruption,) Crimson axes, (they spawn in the Underground Crimson,) and Cursed Skulls, (they spawn in the Dungeon.) I recommend making a new world and going into the dungeon, as in normal mode they spawn in the Dungeon more frequently. Then, drink a battle potion and set up some water candles around the Dungeon. Soon, they should start appearing. But be patient, as it took me about 1 hour real-time to get a Nazar.
2. The Blindfold can drop from Dark Mummies, (they spawn in Crimson/Corrupt Deserts,) Corrupt Slimes, (they spawn in the Corruption and Underground Corruption,) and Slimelings, (when you kill a Corrupt Slime, it split's into three Slimelings.) And two of the three enemy's that drop the Blindfold only spawn in the Corruption, so i recommend creating a new world with Corruption if you have Crimson.
And FYI, i'm pretty sure every single item you need to craft the Ankh Charm has a 1% drop chance from the enemy's that drop the item. Hope this helped you. And if you need any more info on how to craft the Ankh Shield, either go on the wiki or ask me.

What platform are you on? Corrupters and Floaty gross don't spawn in my game because of a bug that has yet to be fixed.
