SoapsSpoilers’ General Hospital recap for the Tuesday, December 21, 2021 episode. Today, Anna and Finn discuss their love lives, Laura lights the town tree, and Brook Lynn gets a visit from Valentin. We also have Monday’s GH recap where Victor was revealed to be behind the attempt on Laura’s life and Cyrus claimed to have found God.
Finn and Violet are looking at her snow globe at the Metro Court as they wait for Anna. The little girl reminds him Anna was late for his wedding. She jogs in as they chuckle. After she admires their snow globe, Violet asks her father to stay so the three of them can have fun together.
Violet leaves them alone to look at the gingerbread palace. Finn admits his daughter has given him more than he could ever give back. “That’s what kids do,” Anna says, reminding him that Violet will be an adult one day and he will spend his winters alone… unless he’s found someone.
The doctor tries to avoid answering but she probes him about Elizabeth. He admits they don’t have a relationship, but it could change when she’s ready. He’s not sure he’s ready for them to be exes who talk about their love lives. Then he changes the topic to her and she insists she has no personal life. He’s heard about her and Valentin. The doctor may not think he’s good enough for her, but knows they’ve been circling each other for years and may they should find out why.
At the Quartermaine house, Brook Lynn tells Bailey that she will be celebrating the season with Maxie next year. Valentin arrives. He’s brought Charlotte with a gift for Bailey. Charlotte explains that she didn’t like the idea of having to share her father with a sibling at first, but she fell in love with Bailey. She bought her a gift when she thought she was her sister but still wants her to have it.
Valentin plunks down the bottle of booze that Yuri sent for Monica. Charlotte and Bailey go into the other room to play. Valentin notices Brook Lynn is sad and wonders why. She claims to be depressed by the holidays, especially after seeing the hurt on his face and Charlotte’s. He asks what her real justification for passing Bailey off as his daughter was. She doesn’t explain and he leaves with his daughter.
Valentin and Charlotte bump into Anna at the Metro Court. They aren’t in the mood to socialize at first, but she is soon invited to join them.
Ava is startled when Victor sidles up to her to order a dirty martini at Charlie’s. She tries to escape but he thinks they should be getting to know each other better since they are family. As they sip, he tells her there is a surprise gift for the whole family. He’s hoping she can see past Spencer’s transgressions and bad decisions. It would be a crime to let his potential go to waste.
Ava makes a jab about what he did to Hayden and her mother. He claims he only wants best for the family and insists on walking her to the tree lighting, warning that danger could be behind every corner. She compliments his accent. “I worked hard to achieve it,” he concedes.

At General Hospital, Spencer complains to Cameron about his elf costume until Esme starts spinning around in hers. Lucy swans in to announce Santa’s arrival for all the children. Kevin walks in dressed as Santa. He’s taken aback when Laura appears and asks if he has anything in his bag for her.
Kevin steps aside with his wife and asks why she didn’t let him know she was coming home. Laura thanks Eileen for looking after things while she’s been out of town and then hugs all the elves. She’s heard about Spencer’s mistakes but is proud he’s taken responsibility for them. Lucy reminds them there are kids to be entertained. Laura calls Martin over to take Kevin’s place so they can have some time alone.
Laura and Kevin make out in his office. She reminds him she has to light the community Christmas tree. After shutting the blinds, she explains the safe house wasn’t that safe. They were attacked. She took a trip to the Midwest to see Cyrus, who claims he’s found God. She’s not sure if he’s lying or not, but there’s another threat.
They discuss Victor’s return. Experience has taught her that the Cassadines are the most dangerous when they are playing nice. She’s going to let Victor think he’s untouchable until she knows what game he’s playing. Eileen eavesdrops on them.
Lucy admires how great Santa is with the kids and sends the elves out to fetch treats. Once the last kid is done with Santa, Lucy drops herself on his lap and yanks down his beard. He says the beard can get them a good table.
Nikolas approaches Trina outside of Kelly’s. He asks for her advice on Ava’s Christmas present: emeralds or rubies. She tells him red and green are good for the season. Before he can walk off, she asks why he can’t be so generous to his son. Spencer and his friends interrupt and he begins bickering with his father.
Elizabeth is thrilled when Drew walks into Kelly’s. They get a table and he admits he wouldn’t blame her or Jake for resenting him thanks to his role in Jason’s death. She says Jason always ran to danger. Drew lost both Jason and Franco. That’s a lot. She tells him he always treated Franco with kindness and that meant a lot. He wishes he’d escaped earlier to help.
As they hold hands, he tells her he’s determined not to be a prisoner to the past. He asks if she’s found someone. She claims she’s not looking. In the holidays, there are so many reminders of Franco. Cameron interrupts to say they are looking for treats. His mother invites Drew to drop by if he’s at loose ends over the holidays.
Cameron learns his mom is working another double shift and accuses her of trying to bury herself under work instead of facing her problems. He feels bad for being the only happy member of the family.
When Drew gets back to the Quartermaine estate, he finds Brook Lynn moping. Rather than explain, she opens the champagne that Yuri sent for Monica. They pour it and toast. He notices it is non-alcoholic. They toast to better times.
In Rice Plaza, Victor gets a call from Eileen informing him that Laura is back. He’s expecting quite the holiday reunion. Nikolas arrives and greets his mother as she shows up.
Victor calls over Spencer and his friends and informs them he’s found a way to solve his legal problems. It means spending 30 days at Spring Ridge and 500 hours of community service. Spencer doesn’t look pleased. If it wasn’t that, it would be 1 to 5 years in Pentonville. He asks his grandmother for help.
Finn and Violet arrive. He tells her the lights can be seen for miles. She wonders if her mother and “aunt” Elizabeth can see the lights too.
Laura is called up to light the tree. She hopes it lights them all on the inside too.
